Acting On Camera

In this 4-week acting-on-camera workshop for kids, young actors will gain valuable skills in:

  1. On-Camera Presence: Learning how to shine in front of the camera with confidence.

  2. Character Development: Exploring the art of becoming different characters and expressing emotions authentically.

  3. Script Reading: Understanding how to analyze and perform scripted scenes effectively.

  4. Improvisation Skills: Developing the ability to think on their feet and create spontaneous performances.

    This workshop is a fantastic opportunity for kids to develop their acting abilities and get a taste of what it's like to be in the spotlight.

 
 
 

House In A Box - Architecture Workshop (kids)

ages: 7-10

Dates: April 30 - May 7 (Tuesday) 

or

May 2 - 9 (Thursday)

Times: 4:30 - 6:00 pm 

Price: $49.95 plus HST

Creating personal spaces for daily living is important for a functional home. In this exciting 2 week workshop for ages 7-10, young architects will make their own house in a box. Students will design their 3D floor plan and create their own customized furniture that creates comfort and personal style.

The following critical skills will be covered in this fun and creative workshop:

  1. Architectural Principles: Learn the fundamental principles of architecture, including spatial planning, structural design, and aesthetics.

  2. Space Exploration: Understand how architects use space to create functional and visually appealing structures, from homes to public spaces.

  3. Creative Problem-Solving: Develop problem-solving skills by tackling real architectural challenges and making innovative design decisions.

  4. Model Building: Get hands-on experience in creating architectural models, House In A Box them to bring their unique design concepts to life.

  5. Personal Expression: Use architecture as a means of personal expression, incorporating their own creativity and style into their designs.

Playful Pavilions -Architecture Workshop (teens)

ages: 11-17

Dates: April 30 -May 7 (Tuesday)

May 2 - 9 (Thursday)

Times:  6:00 - 7:30 pm

Pavilions are temporary and open structures that provide a meeting space. In this informative and creative 2 week workshop for ages 11-17, students will design and make a scaled 3D model of a pavilion. Students are encouraged to make an artistic and abstract structure that activates a sense of play.
