Art Workshops for Kids and Families in Toronto
One session. One big idea. One finished artwork your child will be proud of.
Hands-on workshops led by professional artists in small, focused groups.
CCSA's art workshops and creative events in Toronto are hands-on experiences hosted right here in our studio. Each event is built around one exciting idea, a real art technique and a finished piece to take home. Every session is led by professional artist-instructors and kept to small groups, so everyone gets real guidance.
Our studio is a dedicated creative space, fully set up with the tools and materials participants rarely get to use at home or in school. There's nothing to bring and nothing to clean up; just come in, create and leave inspired. New events are added throughout the year, so check back often to see what's coming up next.

What you'll create: A glowing nighttime landscape or imaginary world on canvas
Techniques: Fluorescent and glow-in-the-dark paint, colour contrast and layering
Who it's for: Kids, ages 4–12
Where: CCSA studio, 109 Vanderhoof Ave, Unit 6, Toronto
Take home: Your finished, one-of-a-kind glowing painting
When the lights go out, their art lights up. In this workshop, kids create a nighttime landscape or an imaginary world using fluorescent and glow-in-the-dark paints. They learn how colour, contrast and layering work together to make a painting come alive. Glowing skies, hidden creatures and secret worlds can only be fully seen once the room goes dark.
Guided by CCSA's professional artist-instructors, every child leaves with a one-of-a-kind painting that keeps glowing on their bedroom wall long after the workshop ends. It's hands-on, imaginative and full of "wow" moments, so kids will want to show it off to everyone they know. Small group sizes mean every young artist gets real attention. Spots are limited, so book early.

What you'll create: An original anime or manga character of your own design
Techniques: Character anatomy, facial expressions, dynamic poses and composition
Who it's for: Teens, ages 13–17
Where: CCSA studio, 109 Vanderhoof Ave, Unit 6, Toronto
Take home: A finished character illustration ready for your sketchbook or portfolio
Turn your favourite style into real skill. This workshop is for teens who love anime and manga and are ready to draw like the artists who inspire them. Participants learn the techniques behind great characters: anatomy, facial expressions, dynamic poses and composition. Then they put those skills into an original character of their own.
Led by professional artist-instructors, this session goes far beyond copying. Teens build a strong foundation they can keep developing in their sketchbooks, online and in future portfolios. It's a chance to create alongside other teens who share the same passion, and to leave with artwork they're proud to post. Seats are limited.
