Winter solstice, the longest night of the year, is a festival celebrated by different nations around the world, including Persians, Afghans, Pakistanis, Russians, South Africans, etc. Persians call the longest night of the year: “Yal-dâ” night or “shab-e che-lleh”. Persians in different parts of the world will celebrate Yal-dâ night by getting together, having snacks, singing, dancing, reading poetry, staying up late with family and friends, and getting ready for the arrival of winter.

To promote cultural diversity and share the beauty of Yal-dâ Night with a broader audience, we have organized an art and culture workshop for children.

Join us for a fun morning of art, craft, and treats at CCSA to celebrate the winter solstice.

Sign up for the workshop and receive a free printable of Yal-dâ activities, including: Coloring, craft, board game, cooking, and many more.
