PA DAY
At the Canadian Contemporary School of Art (CCSA), we believe that learning should always be fun! On every TDSB PA Day, CCSA hosts an exciting full-day camp filled with a variety of art activities that are unique to each PA Day. This ensures that every camp is a fresh and enjoyable experience for your children.
Our camps provide a creative space where kids can dive into different art forms, all tailored to their age groups, making the day both educational and entertaining.
Time: 9 AM to 4:00 PM
Ages: 4-12 years
Fee: $98+HST
Limited seats are available, so be sure to reserve early!
**Lunch and Snacks will not be included. Children will be required to a carry nut-free lunch.

Inspired by Frida Kahlo: Storytelling Self-Portraits
Frida Kahlo expressed her life and emotions not only through her paintings but also through her bold personal style—flower crowns, colorful dresses, and symbolic jewelry. In this workshop, children will design their own wearable art pieces, painting expressive patterns and sculpting 3D flowers, animals, or symbolic charms. Each creation will become a unique piece of art they can wear, inspired by Frida’s fearless spirit of self-expression.

Inspired by Henri Matisse: Colorful Cut-Out Creations
Henri Matisse used bold shapes and vibrant colors to make his famous cut-out artworks. In this workshop, children will paint bright, playful backgrounds, then sculpt and layer shapes—like stars, leaves, or abstract forms—using clay and textured materials. Their creations will become lively 3D collages full of movement and color.

Inspired by Romero Britto: Pop Art Joy
Romero Britto’s art bursts with bright colors, bold lines, and playful patterns. Children will paint cheerful hearts, flowers, animals, or abstract designs in Britto’s signature pop-art style. Then, they’ll sculpt raised details—like 3D dots, textured patterns, or layered shapes—to make their masterpieces pop off the canvas. The result will be joyful, vibrant artworks full of energy and positivity.

Inspired by Wassily Kandinsky: Music in Color
Wassily Kandinsky believed that colors and shapes could sing like music. In this workshop, children will paint vibrant abstract “soundscapes,” using bold colors and swirling forms to capture rhythm and movement. Then, they’ll explore sculpting by building raised shapes and textured lines with air dry clay, cardboard cut-outs, or wire accents. These sculpted details will pop off the canvas, turning their paintings into lively 3D masterpieces that look—and feel like music in motion.
